POLISH LINE SZAMRAJOWKA

Born in about 1810 in one of the stud farms of the Bialocerkiew estate, owned by the Counts Branicki, located in the steppes of present-day Ukraine, the founder of this lineage was named after her birth stud, SZAMRAJOWKA.

Once extinct in Poland, the line was first re-imported in 1930 with the purchase by the Polish authorities of the KEWA mare, produced by the eleventh generation, born in 1923 at the Inocendzvor stud farm in Yugoslavia. Stationed in Janów Podlaski, it gave birth in 1938 to WLODARKA by the famous OFIR. Unfortunately, during the invasion of Poland by Soviet troops in 1939, nine stallions and 54 mares were stolen from Janów, KEWA and her one-year-old filly were part of it. After having survived the journey on foot to the Tersk stud farm, WLODARKA was integrated into the Russian breeding program where it was born in 1953 by PRIBOJ to PIEWICA, which will be bought by the Polish authorities to reintroduce its lineage.

Three daughters of PIEWICA had an enormous influence on the Polish breeding, and gave birth to the now famous 'P' line of Janów Podlaski.
The first, PENZA born in 1959 by FAHER, gave birth to the Polish champion and European champion PENITENT 1979 and to the mare PEMBA, mother of PEPI 1975 and the champion of Poland and winner of Criterium PEPTON, two influential breeding stallions.

Pierzga (Negatiw - Piewica)1964- Janów

The second, PIERZGA 1964 by NEGATIW, is the mother of PIERROT 1969, the winner of the derby exported to Germany, PIERZEJA 1974 by BANDOS, which gave birth to the winner of the Derby PIECHUR, also champion of the Nations Cup and vice-champion of Europe in show, an important breeding stallion. She also produced two daughters with PALAS, namely PILARKA in 1975 and the winner of the Oaks, PIECZEC 1976, mother of the world champion PIRUET by PROBAT. PILARKA, world champion in 1981 and double European champion in 1981 and 1987, nicknamed "the Pearl of the Crown" by the Poles, gave his fame to the 'P' line and perpetuated the PIERZGA branch via two of his daughters.

PIPI

In 1981 PIPI was born, by BANAT, who became the Queen of Janów. Polish champion and outstanding producer, she is the mother of fifteen foals among whom the champions PILOT 1987 by FAWOR, champion of Poland junior and multi-champion international, PISTACJA 1988 by PROBAT, vice-champion of Poland junior and senior, PIKARDIA 1989 by ALEGRO, vice-champion of Great Britain, PILAR 1996 by FAWOR, Poland junior champion and PIAFF 1997 by ELDON, double champion of Poland, Dutch champion and chief breeder of the ILDERIM line. The family of PIPI became a real dynasty of champions mainly thanks to his daughter PILAR, and his granddaughter PALMETA by ECAHO and PILICA by FAWOR, PILAR's own sister. But his daughter PRERIA 2000, by ARARAT, produced the fantastic PRIMERA by EDEN C, which won among others the titles of Poland junior champion, junior vice champion of the Cup of Nations, and 2014 senior European champion.

POTENTILLA - Photo-Erna Polak

Before being sold to Qatar in 2010, PILAR, left 10 foals to Janów. Her first daughter, PANONIA by EUKALIPTUS gave the promising POTENTILLA by EKSTERN and PROMETIDA by KAHIL AL SHAQAB, vice-champion Yearling in Bialka. PIETA, the first product of her many marriages with GAZAL AL SHAQAB, and PINTA by EKSTERN, Polish vice-champion of junior 2007, were sold in England for the respective impressive sums of € 300,000 and € 500,000. PILAROSA by AL ADEED AL SHAQAB won the bronze medal in the Polish championship. His son, POMIAN by GAZAL AL SHAQAB, champion in Bialka, is used as a breeding stallion. But it was her own sister, PINGA, who took over the family tradition as a competition mare and an exceptional broodmare. Indeed, it is notably double champion of Poland and champion of Europe and the Senior World. In addition to these titles, she proved her worth as a broodmare with her first two daughters born in Poland, two sisters by EDEN C, PATERNA vice-champion in Bialka and vice-champion of Poland junior, and PINIATA, bronze medalist at the Polish championship.
Double champion of Poland and senior European champion, PALMETA became the matriarch of Janów Podlaski. His first son, PALATINO 2006 by PESAL, Poland Champion and bronze medalist at the European Championships and the Nations Cup, was selected as a breeding stallion. His second daughter, PALABRA 2007 by ENZO was Poland's junior champion, PALATINA 2009 by QR MARC, champion of the Spring show and Intercup in Prague, and PATRIA 2012 by EDEN C Polish junior champion in 2013.

Pilarka (Palas - Pierzga)-1975- Janów

In 1984, PILARKA gave birth to PINIA by PROBAT, which left only an important daughter, PIANOSA 1988 by EUKALIPTUS. A junior champion in Bialka and vice-champion of Poland in 2004, PIANOSA died just 10 years ago, leaving only 4 foals at Janów. But what foals! His first foal born in 2003 is none other than the iconic PIANISSIMA by GAZAL AL SHAQAB. The most successful mare in the history of the race, the first winner of a double "Triple Crown", that is to say, champion of the Nations Cup, Europe and the World as junior and senior, doubles champion of Poland, champion of the United States, champion in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. His second foal, POLON by EKSTERN was used as a breeding stallion before being sold in England. PASSIONARIA, PIANISSIMA's own sister, was vice-champion in Bialka and PALADID by AL ADEED AL SHAQAB is also stationed among the stallions in Janów.

PIEWECA

The third daughter of PIEWICA who had a great influence on breeding is PENTODA, 1970 by BANDOS. His first daughter, PENICYLINA 1976 by PALAS was sold in the United States in 1985 for the sum of $ 1,500,000 and won the national title in the same year. PENICYLINA produced PEKTYNA 1984 by BANDOS, Polish vice-champion Junior.
Her second daughter, PENTOZA 1978 by ELLORUS, is one of the founding mares of the Bialka state stud, where she produced PERFORACJA 1986 by ERNAL, mother of the double national champion of Poland and the Netherlands, the breeding stallion PESAL 1991 by PARTNER. All the 'P' champions of the Bialka stud are descended from PENTOZA, like the PEROLIA autumn show champion, the international champion PELMIRA, the champion of the Breeder championships in Deauville and Warsaw PERFIRKA, and his daughter, the junior vice-champion of Poland, junior champion of the Nations Cup, junior vice-champion of Europe and the world and international multi-champion PERFINKA 2011.

PESKA

His third daughter, PESTKA, by PROBAT, long producer in Janów before being exported to the United States, was systematically married to PEPTON or his brother EUKALIPTUS. She is undoubtedly the mare that in history has given the most breeding stallions to Janów in three or four generations. By her first daughter PETRA by PEPTON, she is the grandmother of the phenomenal PETLA by the Russian stallion VISBADEN, who had four sons stationed in the stable of stallions in Janów, three of them simultaneously, and each of different male line PENTAGRAM, PEDAGOG, PRADO, champion of the Spring Show, and the magnificent POGROM, champion of the Spring Show, junior Poland champion, senior vice champion of Poland Senior, and especially winner of the triple crown in the USA, national champion in Scottsdale and in Las Vegas. Her other daughter by PEPTON, POHULANKA, is the mother of the Polish champion and father of POGANIN champions. As for the daughters of EUKALIPTUS, PEPESZA is the mother of the two breeding stallions PERSEUSZ by LAHEEB, champion in Poznan and Mince, and PEGASUS by GAZAL AL SHAQAB, Polish vice-champion 2012, and the younger PSYCHE is the mother of PORTO by EKSTERN, Poland's junior vice-champion 2006. PEPESZA is also the mother of two exceptional mares, PERNILA by GAZAL AL SHAQAB, bronze medalist at the championships of Poland, and PEPITA by EKSTERN, Poland champion, vice-champion of the Cup Nations and Europe 2014, the same year that his son PITAWAL, by KAHIL AL SHAQAB was crowned vice-champion both in Bialka and nationals in Janów.

PENTODA

After that, PENTODA produced PETARDA in 1984 by ERNAL, Austrian champion, PERFIDIA in 1987 by PALAS, German champion, and PERELKA in 1988 again by ERNAL, junior Poland champion and mother of our international champion PERSENKOWKA 1993 by ELDON .
The only son of PENTODA used in the breeding was PERS 1982 by ENOS, which produced despite premature death of good race horses and show.

For more than twenty years, there has not been a single year in which a representative of this lineage does not win a major title. It is easy to understand why this famous lineage P is so much sought after and is proud of its country of birth and particularly of the stud of Janów Podlaski, who is responsible for his past and present glory and guarantor of his brilliant future.
